Often, the Grosse Pointe North Intrumental Program publishes exciting news pertaining to our program here at North High School. We are proud of our students and their achievments. Below are a few of the most recent press releases available.

GPN students with U of M Marching Band

On Sunday, December 7^th, three Grosse Pointe North students ( Matthew D., Sam M., and Charlie M.) performed with the University of Michigan Marching Band at Crisler Arena. These students were selected along with dozens of other students from around the state to perform with this prestigious band. Also performing in the concert were two 2008 alumni from Grosse Pointe North: Jenny B. and Quinn W.

Band & Orchestra Attend Dixie Classic Invitational

Congratulations to the students in the North Band and Orchestra for a remarkable weekend in Chicago, IL. Performing in one of the most prestigious festivals in the country, the Dixie Classic 2008 National Adjudicator's Invitational, the Grosse Pointe North musicians performed at near perfect levels, and received the largest number of trophies at the awards ceremony.

GPN Students Invited to MYAF

Michigan youth Arts Festival Press Release - 3-20-08

The following Grosse Pointe North students were invited to perform in the prestigious Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University on May 8-10th: pictured left to right; Peter D. (violin), Martin B. (cello), Theodore B. (viola), Julienne H. (clarinet), and Jamie D. (piano). The selection of these students to this "All-Star" team of musicians was based on their recent high scores at the MSBOA State Solo and Ensemble Festival on March 15th.

Grosse Pointe North High School was represented extremely well this past weekend as they set a new record in recent history for the number of events at MSBOA District Solo and Ensemble Festival held at Rochester High School.
