Congratulations to the students in the North Band and Orchestra for a remarkable weekend in Chicago, IL. Performing in one of the most prestigious festivals in the country, the Dixie Classic 2008 National Adjudicator's Invitational, the Grosse Pointe North musicians performed at near perfect levels, and received the largest number of trophies at the awards ceremony.

The following Grosse Pointe North students were invited to perform in the prestigious Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University on May 8-10th: pictured left to right; Peter D. (violin), Martin B. (cello), Theodore B. (viola), Julienne H. (clarinet), and Jamie D. (piano).  The selection of these students to this "All-Star" team of musicians was based on their recent high scores at the MSBOA State Solo and Ensemble Festival on March 15th.

Don't Miss this year's special performance event for the Groose Pointe North Orchestra and Bands.  They will be performing Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the DSO Max M. Fisher Music Center at 7:30 pm.

This long standing tradition will once again be a performance and venue you will never forget.  It is our hope that parents, friends, family and members of the community will support our music program by attending this event.

Band & Orchestra Students set new record for at MSBOA District Solo & Ensemble Festival.  Grosse Pointe North High School was represented extremely well this past weekend as they set a new record in recent history for the number of events at MSBOA District Solo and Ensemble Festival held at Rochester High School.
